Born February 26, 1914 in Roundup, Mont. Received a B.A. in Political Science from Reed College, Portland Or. (1936). Worked for the U.S. Social Security Administration (1939-1969). Volunteered for the 10th Mountain Division in September 1943 and was assigned to the 86th Infantry Regiment, Company C and 1st Battalion headquarters company.
